We have had a few requests from users to tell us about differences in positions between our positioning tracking tool and manual checks or from other tools. The vast majority of the differences can actually be explained by the functioning of our parser (the part of the tool that checks your positions on Google), whose fine management allows in particular to independently calculate the universal search results.
Let’s recap how the position calculations are done on Google in the positioning tracker. Learn more here: google api position check.
Conditions for verifying positions on Google:
At myposeo, we have made the choice, since the creation of the tool, to calculate the most neutral results possible, as they could be seen by an average Internet user , in a “first-search” situation.
Here are some characteristics of our parser:
- Never history
- Cookie generated on each call
- Never hide
- Google Chrome browser
- Always in offline mode
- A very large pool of IP addresses and in many countries
- We always question google.TLD, and not a specific datacenter via IP address (in order to mimic human behavior ), indeed positioning on a datacenter in the US is of no interest for a French research.
